Visa

Auckland / New Zealand

Viaduct Harbour Ave.

Engaged by Wingates architects, on behalf of the client Visa Asia Pacific.

The dual aims with lighting were to have a positive effect on the users of the space, and to impart a sense of Visa’s unique brand identity in ways that feel natural, not forced.

With staff wellbeing at the fore, we lit the breakout spaces in ways that combine practicality and playfulness to elicit an upbeat but relaxed feeling from users. Custom tubular LEDs were a first of their kind and created a gentle sense of momentum and wayfinding.

In the boardroom, the back-lit a stretched ceiling creates a beautifully even lit effect, eliminating the risk of hotspots or glare, and allowing eyes to easily focus on the people in the space and the presentation screens in use.

To make the double height, exposed ceiling feel less industrial, more human, and to light the space at the same time, custom LEDs were designed in a patterned layout that becomes a signature of the space.
